Crafty Spam with Photos

For the past couple of weeks or so, I've been working away on various crochet projects including these three Molly Sweaters. These were made for the auction winner at the OKC Yule Ball, , and , respectively . Have seven more of them in progress

Then, using 's pattern for the reversible hat I created this entry for the April/May challenge

Those colors look a little familiar? They should .............
After all Molly Weasley does need a warm hat to go with her sweater *grins

I've also been working on the HPKCHC classes which opened May 1st on Ravelry and the hat was submitted and accepted as a Charms assignment and for Defense against the Dark Arts, I just completed and submitted these cup cozys. :D

Currently working on a baby mandrake for herbology *grins*

The latest....

I have spent the past few afternoons listening to this........

It seems the city needs to replace its very old waterlines with pvc lines and they've reached the area around our house. So its a big cat with jackhammer going, small cat moving debris and digging and just loads of noise.

I've been distracting myself today working on a 'sekkrit project' for someone with a special event coming up. Started it at the doctor's office last week waiting on the doctor to come in after the nurse took out the stitches

And right now its here: But I'm stll working on it tonight.

Did get another Molly done and delivered to Chrissie just in time for the Wrock cruise she's going on. Have a great time Chrissie!

Right now, the sky ahs darkened and the wind picked up a bit earlier with the temperatures dropping a bit but none of the rain they said we might get today. But still nice weather to snuggle up with some crochet.

Okay, just to make a liar out of me, I no sooner typed the period for the preceding sentence when the rain started. :D

Like Mother Like Daughter...

...and that's just what Molly #14 and 15 are... Mother/Daughter set for   and her mum,  . Sorry its this late coming but they are finally done! Will pack up and send soon as I can find an owl for them :)

For others who are waiting I have not forgotten and am working on them as I can, the past few months have just been a bit 'harder' than I expected :)

C`rafty What I Did on My...

...Summer Vacation Winter Non-Motivation bout with depression time. While I've been alternating between battling being sick and battling various firsts (Thanksgiving in November, Dad's birthday December 10, Christmas and New Years) I really haven't posted much of myself. Well, finally uploaded two months worth of photos from my cameras and can share a bit of what I have managed to accomplish and been doing with myself a bit.

Did manage to finish three more Mollys (numbers 11, 12 and 13 for those keeping count) One was for a crafty witches project which I forgot to take a photo of before mailing to
josee_madalia and the other two were for a swap on HPCrafters.

Along with that, Joe and I decided to do Christmas ornaments for our congregation for each Sunday in Advent (four) with something attached to each one explaining the meaning. One was simple gold stars that sparkled that we found at Walmart in packs of 16 (A star shone in the East). Others were the Christmas Nail with poem -- simple concrete nails with a red ribbon tied for a hanger. Also found beaded ornament kits - candy cane and crosses.

Along with this, for Christmas Eve, we found snowglobes with the nativity in them for each family. Small church which made it rather doable.

Christmas was nice here as the congregation decorates for the season and it was really nice and 'homey' feeling when we went.

Especially with all of my decorations still in storage. Maybe this year I'll be able to move and decorate again :)

I'll do a squee mail catch up post later and also one about our weekend adventures last week later!

Stitch Stirrers Prompt #1

Having joined in on Stitch Stirrers, here's the first prompt:

Even if you don’t consider yourself a poet, this should be fun and easy. Your mission is to write a limerick–or several–about crochet. No starting with “There once was a man from Nantucket…” though!
What is a limerick? A limerick is a short poem, oftentimes humorous (although it doesn’t have to be), which consist of five lines. Lines 1, 2, and 5 should all three rhyme with each other, as should lines 3 & 4, thus creating a rhyme-scheme of aabba.
Need more info to get you started? Do a Google search on “example of limericks” or check out this site: How to Write a Limerick.
Have fun!

And here's my crochet Limerick for it! I have been recently turning out quite a few of Shelle Cain's Coat of Many Colors sweater based on the one Molly Weasley wears in Prisoner of Azkaban. soooooooooo

There once was a sweater on Molly
That turned out to be quite jolly
The pattern was made
She crocheted and crocheted
And put all of her friends in a Molly!

I am pleased to introduce to you.......

Vladimir..... My new laptop replacing Marius who stopped working near the end of that nice 16 day trek of mine in May. And yes, I know several of you knew I planned to name this one either Marius or Maharet. However, as I was setting him up, my mind was commanding my right index finger to type "m" while my left index finger is hitting "v" and the typing just continued until he was named Vladimir. He wanted Vladimir he got Vladimir :D

Still have some programs to add but up running and we're getting along quite nicely though Vista is 'interesting' ^_-

And as promised earlier some photos from Squee Mail received over my birthday weekend.

First off apologies to kimberly_elf for completely forgetting to mention the lovely photo album she designed and had sent to me with memories from Phoenix Rising that arrived on that Thursday:

Friday found the beautiful original design afghan from hp5freak

Come Tuesday, Alucard found his way to my home courtesy of Dragon Breeder jennbrad52

And just because I never did get a picture posted when I got it, this is Iggy the Owl made by quietish and he came home with me when I went to visit her for Mugglefest in June. Also pictured is his sister, Toriya who came home with me also!

And in case you're wondering, yes I do love red and black, very much :D
