Day 22: The job that I had to return to and the good zen so prevalent in the office
Day 23: Internet to keep me in touch with so many dear hearts that aren't as close as I wish we could be in miles.
Day 24: The gathering of ladies with a heart for the new prayer shawl ministry forming at work.
Day 25: Yarn and crochet hooks
Day 26: Finding bargains for things we actually needed!
Day 27: A wonderful day out with Sir Dragon Preacher in McAlester that included an early morning breakfast, a meeting, chinese buffet and my first ever 3D movie, Fright Night!

Been awhile!
Been awhile
Life has been hectic and yet slow.
Hectic at work. Change in boss as old boss asked for and got transfer and new boss assigned.
Had been completing going away gift for her:
Sir Dragon Preacher has new pastoral position as well once again. Small UMC church about 36 miles from here. Still keeping fulltime secular job at chicken plant (small church so cannot pay full time salary) but that's okay. The fact he has a church once again has made such a difference and though its more work, doesn't seem so.
Slow has come from the weather.... temps have been over 100 for past 3 or 4 weeks now. I find myself rather listless during daytime hours when it's hot.
Weather had also resulted in a tornado coming through. We came out fine but good friends of ours about 6 miles from us have had tree come down on porch of their house and house moved off foundations about 3 inches which is enough to make it not safe and because the house is 100 yrs old, not repairable.
I have been talked into taking part in the SSHG Exchange on LiveJournal. My piece for it has been completed and submitted :D
Planning to finally take this year's vacation time to travel to Oregon. Though plan trip has been moved from July to August due to some scheduling conflicts.
A very happy five year anniversary to my favorite fiends! You know who you are :)

Finally Saturday!
Some weeks you wonder just how you got through it. This has been one of them
Joe and Pneumonia: Never expected it was that. Flu maybe but fortunately, as the doctor said, we caught it early and the antibiotics are working. He's still coughing a lot and has pulled a muscle from doing so much of it but he's definitely improved some since Tuesday.
Work: Sometimes, deadlines collide. That has been the case this week and with a bit of help Thursday and Friday mornings from two wonderful ladies in the congregation, I managed to get published,copied, collated, folded and addressed and mailed:
Merlin is a 2007 Mercury Milan dealer leftover. With only 75 miiles on him, he'll come with 34 months of a bumper to bumper warranty so that if anything happens I can take him to any Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer for service. 5 speed manual, a/c, heater, cd/am/fm and I believe he also has the plug in for mp3 (they made 2 versions and pretty sure this one has the connection). Tardis Blue with Beige interior. We trade in in a couple of hours. Photos will follow
Excited but a bit bummed as not having had any car payments for 10 years now, that part is so gonna take some getting used to.

- 115 stewardship campaign packets
- 20 meeting reminder cards
- copying, folding, collating 60 bulletins
- folding 14 more

*where she rants*
Funeral at work this morning. Now this does not mean I don't have to do my normal type work, just that I have to make sure things are ready in the sanctuary and such as well.
On phone placing order for our upcoming VBS, funeral director comes in, don't bother to ask if I'm busy or even notice I'm on phone. Justs tells me he needs fellowship hall door unlocked (on other side of church). Told him soon as I was done, he left. Continued placing the order. Was in the process of giving credit card info for billing.... He comes back and yet again does not bother to ask if I'm busy or even notice I'm on phone. "That door needs to be open! I have family wanting to get in!" I hold phone where it is rather visible and tell him "Soon as I am done! I'm still on this call!" He storms out says he'll do it himself.
